Why keep two AI assistants?
An AI assistant is a program that does work after you describe the job in plain words: draft this email, summarize these notes, tidy this folder. You never type technical commands; describing what you want is the whole interface. Without an assistant, every one of those jobs stays yours to do by hand.
Claude, made by Anthropic, and , made by OpenAI, are the two assistants this course sets up. On your desktop, Claude runs in the Claude app, while Codex is a view you choose inside the ChatGPT app. The idea is identical in both: you describe the job, the assistant does the work.
Keeping both is not a winner-and-spare arrangement. Each assistant is capable on its own, so each gets work of its own: a second take when you are stuck, and another draft to compare when the answer matters.
