The connector uses the account already signed in
The approval screen follows whichever Gmail account is already signed in to your browser, so a moment of setup decides which inbox your assistant reads. Open a fresh assistant chat, and sign in to the exact Gmail account you want it to read in that same browser. One judgment belongs here too. Personal mail belongs in a personal account, and work mail belongs under your employer's rules. If a setting is locked, that choice is your administrator's to make, and the right move is to follow it.
