Step 1 of 4
Choose one account and one email
A connector is a permissioned link that lets your assistant read another app's data, here your Gmail. Keep one known Gmail message open beside the assistant. Choose the matching account, inspect the connection's read, draft, send, and confirmation boundaries, then ask for the sender, subject, date, and one fact from that message. A match confirms this one read path.
Pick the Gmail account you want to use and open one message you can find again, such as Dana's email confirming Thursday's meeting. Write down one fact from it, such as the meeting time. Use a personal account for personal work and an approved work account for work. If an administrator has disabled the connection, ask the administrator instead of switching accounts to get around the rule.

Practice
Choose the Gmail account, open one known message, and write down the exact fact your assistant should retrieve.
